DAY 1 CAIRO
Upon arrival in Cairo, you will be met by FLO Egypts representative and transferred to your hotel for overnight.

DAY 2 CAIRO
Your private Egyptologist / tour guide and driver will pick you up and start your tour. Drive to Giza and visit the Pyramids. See the Great Pyramid, a Royal Burial Chamber, the Valley Temple, and the Sphinx. Then visit the Solar Boat, one of the most amazing Pharaonic discoveries. Continue to Memphis, capital of the Pharaohs during the Old Kingdom. Visit the recumbent statue of Ramesses II and the 80-ton Alabaster Sphinx. Lunch en route. Continue to Sakara to see the prototype of the pyramids, the Step Pyramid, built for the 3rd Dynasty Pharaoh Djoser by the exalted architect Imhotep. Continuing south, visit the Pyramid of Dahshour. King Senefru, father of King Cheops, built this Pyramid, also known as the Red Pyramid, approximately 4,600 years ago. Many scholars consider it to be more glorious than the Great Pyramid of Cheops. Return to Cairo and visit the Papyrus Institute on the way to your hotel for overnight.

DAY 3 to 8 SHARM EL SHEIKH
After breakfast, you will be transferred to Cairo Airport for your flight to Sharm El Sheikh. Upon arrival, you will be met and transferred to your hotel for 5 nights.

DAY 8 – CAIRO
After breakfast, you will be transferred to the airport for your return flight to Cairo. Upon arrival in Cairo, drive to the Egyptian Museum of Antiquities for a detailed, guided tour. Among other fascinating exhibits, see the treasures of the Tomb of Tutankhamen and the extraordinary Mummies Room. Over ten mummies, including that of Ramesses II, are displayed in freestanding glass cases in this climate-controlled room. Walk around the mummies and examine them from all angles, gaze into their incredibly well preserved 3000-year-old faces. Leave the museum and enter Old Cairo and walk back in time. Visit the Old Coptic Church and the Ben Ezra Synagogue. Lunch en route. Continue to the Mohamad Ali Mosque and the streets of Khan el Khalili Bazaar. Return to your hotel for overnight.

DAY 9 CAIRO
You will be transferred to the airport for your departure.

Day 1, Depart USA
Depart on your flight to Egypt, land of history and wonder.

Day 2 – 4, Cairo, Egypt
Three nights in cosmopolitan Cairo, the melting pot of ancient and modern Egyptian civilizations. Two full days of private sightseeing in and around Cairo with your own Egyptologist, to include the monuments at Giza, the Citadel and Sultan Hassan Mosque, the Egyptian Museum and mummies room, Old Cairo and the Khan el Khalili market.

Day 5, Luxor
A short flight up the Nile followed by a full day excursion to Dendarra and Abydos.

Day 6 – 9, Nile Cruise
The Nile cruise ship will be your floating hotel and transport for the next four nights, accessing a number of the antiquities and historical venues built along the Nile.

Traditional sights include a visit to the Valley of Kings, the temple built for the only female pharaoh and the stupendous west bank sites at Luxor and Karnak, the largest temple complex ever built by man. On the southbound sailing, view the Temple of Horus at Edfu and the twin Ptolomaic temples at Kom Ombo. In Aswan, enjoy a short ride in a felucca – a traditional local sail boat – a visit to the High Dam and the Philae Temples at Angelika Island.
